Every year, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency makes 24 million decisions that affect people's lives and society as a whole. We pay out approximately 250 billion SEK each year. These are everyone's tax funds that we manage. It is a great responsibility. Therefore, we take the time to understand each case, follow laws and regulations, inform and guide, care, and show compassion. This is a job for you who want to take responsibility. Welcome to the Swedish Social Insurance Agency.
Close Leadership, Change, Sustainable Workplace
As a unit manager, you are the leader closest to the employees and the operations. You are responsible for leading and driving the daily work based on the department's mission and goals, where the state value base permeates your work. Through your leadership, you convey clear expectations, follow up on goals, and provide your employees with the right conditions to take their responsibility. You have personnel responsibility as well as results and follow-up responsibility for the teams in your unit.
Your unit consists of approximately 25 employees who all work with income investigations and are located in Karlshamn and Karlskrona. In Karlshamn, the team also works with employer benefits in the form of, among other things, workplace-oriented rehabilitation support. Since the employees are located in two places, it will be relevant for you as a manager to be present in both locations and to be comfortable leading remotely. Through close leadership, you create the predictability, security, and sustainability necessary for employees to take their responsibility and meet the need for change. You create understanding of the context, direction, and the goals the department has set and develop the plans your operations need. As a unit manager, you support the area manager and are part of the area's management group, which consists of 8 people, where you contribute your expertise and engagement. You adapt and exercise your leadership in a way that creates conditions for employees to use their judgment and competence. You will also assist in development work since workplace-oriented rehabilitation support is only handled in this unit.
The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you who will work with us have a high security awareness.
This is a job for you who want to take responsibility.
